Teaching/Mentoring
Teaching Assistant Experience
I have served as a teaching assistant for several undergraduate courses in the Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences at NC State University and in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NC A&T State University. Across these courses, I supported more than 350 students through laboratory instruction, lectures, problem-solving sessions, office hours, and grading.
- MEA 100 (Fall 2021, Spring 2022): Earth System Science: Exploring the Connections
- Led weekly lab sections with short instructional lectures on atmospheric, oceanic, and earth sciences.
- Held weekly office hours to support students with course material.
- Graded lab assignments and provided feedback.
- MEA 130 (Spring 2021): Introduction to Weather and Climate
- Taught lab classes through weekly class lectures.
- Held weekly office hours to support students with course material.
- Graded lab assignments and provided feedback.
- MEA 421 (Fall 2020): Atmospheric Dynamics 1
- Conducted lab classes by helping students to solve worksheet problems provided by the course instructor.
- Graded homeworks and exams. Homework problems included derivations, short-answer questions, and analytical problems.
- Held weekly office hours to support students with their homework, exam preparation, and theoretical understanding.
- MEA 315 (Spring 2020): Math Methods for Atmospheric Science
- Led worksheet-based lab sessions covering vector calculus, differential equations, and basic wave analysis.
- Hosted weekly office hours to help students understand mathematical tools used in atmospheric science.
- Graded worksheet assignments and homeworks.
